Lucky Boy Ranch was established in 2000 by avid outdoor enthusiasts, Jim and Jim Bob Salter. With a lot of hard work, the LBR proudly offers guided trophy and management hunts for San Saba County-native whitetail deer, trophy aoudad sheep, trophy red sheep, excellent tank fishing and spring turkey hunts.
Lucky Boy Ranch’s hunting area is intensively managed with approximately 1,200 acres under high fence. The terrain ranges from flat, to rolling, to extremely steep. The surface soil is sandy loam; other areas are covered by sandstone rock. Trees consist of post oak, Spanish oak, red oak, and mesquite and the underbrush is mainly catclaw and persimmon. Throughout the LBR, there are 3 food plots, 7 protein and mineral feed stations, 13 surface tanks which accumulate to 22 acres of water, with 2 cross-fences. The larger 2 tanks have docks with fish feeders on them.
Lucky Boy Ranch is located between Goldthwaite and San Saba in the heart of Texas.
