The terrain ranges from flat, to rolling, to extremely steep. The surface soil is sandy loam; other areas are covered by sandstone rock. Trees consist of post oak, Spanish oak, red oak, and mesquite and the underbrush is mainly catclaw and persimmon.
Throughout the LBR, there are 3 food plots, 6 protein and mineral feed stations, 13 surface tanks which accumulate to 22 acres of water, with 2 cross-fences. The larger 2 tanks have docks with fish feeders on them.
